All 4 Jesus Belize
Statement of Faith
All 4 Jesus Belize is a Christ-centered ministry rooted in the authority of Scripture, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the call to make disciples. These beliefs shape our worship, our ministry, our partnerships, and the way we love and serve the people of Belize.
“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.”
Romans 11:36What We Believe
We joyfully affirm the historic Christian faith and seek to carry out our mission in a way that is faithful to Scripture, centered on Christ, dependent on the Holy Spirit, and committed to the glory of God.
The Word of God
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired, inerrant, infallible, sufficient, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is our final authority for faith, doctrine, conduct, ministry, and life.
2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12
The Triune God
We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, equal in deity, glory, majesty, and power, yet distinct in person and work.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:16–17
God the Father
We believe God the Father is eternal, infinite, holy, sovereign, wise, loving, merciful, and unchangeable in all His attributes. He created all things, sustains all things, and works all things according to His will and glory.
John 4:24; Exodus 34:6–7; Ephesians 1:11; James 1:17
Jesus Christ the Son
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary and atoning death, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will personally return in power and glory.
John 1:1–14; Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:11
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates sinners, indwells believers, seals them for redemption, sanctifies them, gives spiritual gifts, and empowers the Church for witness and service.
John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:8–14; Romans 8:9–16; Ephesians 1:13–14
Creation, Humanity, and the Fall
We believe God created mankind, male and female, in His image and for His glory. Every person has inherent dignity, worth, and value. Through Adam’s sin, humanity fell into sin and death, leaving every person in need of redemption and new birth through Christ.
Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; John 3:3–7
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Salvation is not earned by works, religious effort, moral improvement, or human merit, but is received through repentance and faith in the shed blood, substitutionary death, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:4–7; Romans 5:8–9; John 14:6; Acts 4:12
The Christian Life
We believe those who belong to Christ are called to walk in obedience, holiness, humility, love, repentance, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit. Good works do not save us, but they are the fruit of genuine faith and the evidence of a life being transformed by grace.
Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:22–25; Romans 12:1–2; James 2:17
The Church
We believe the Church is the body and bride of Christ, made up of all who have been born again by the Spirit of God. The Church is expressed locally through gathered believers who worship, teach the Word, observe baptism and the Lord’s Supper, edify one another, serve, and bear witness to the gospel.
Ephesians 1:22–23; Ephesians 5:25–32; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27
The Great Commission
We believe Christ commands His Church to go into all the world, make disciples, baptize believers, and teach obedience to all He has commanded. A4JB exists to participate in this mission by proclaiming Jesus, strengthening the Church, and serving communities in His name.
Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14–15
Resurrection, Judgment, and Eternity
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life with God, and the lost to eternal judgment apart from Him.
Matthew 25:46; John 5:28–29; Philippians 3:20–21; Revelation 20:11–15
Satan, Sin, and Spiritual Warfare
We believe Satan is a real personal being, the enemy of God and humanity, and the deceiver of the world. Though active in opposition to God’s purposes, he is a defeated enemy whose final judgment is certain through the victory of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 20:2; Ephesians 6:10–18; 1 Peter 5:8–9; Colossians 2:15
Our Ministry Convictions
These convictions help guide the way A4JB serves, partners, leads teams, and cares for people.
The Gospel Comes First
We serve physical needs, build relationships, and strengthen communities, but our greatest hope is that people would know and follow Jesus Christ.
People Bear God’s Image
Every person is worthy of dignity, compassion, protection, and love because they are made in the image of God.
Families Matter
We affirm the biblical importance of marriage, family, discipleship in the home, and the spiritual care of children.
The Church Is Central
We are committed to strengthening local churches and serving in ways that point people toward long-term Christian community.
Unity in Mission
Serving Together With Conviction and Grace
A4JB partners with churches, teams, donors, and volunteers from various evangelical Christian traditions. We ask those who serve with us to respect this Statement of Faith, honor the authority of Scripture, uphold the gospel of Jesus Christ, and serve in a spirit of humility, unity, and love.
