Common Questions
Every trip is a little different because ministry is relational and responsive, but these answers will help you understand what to expect.
From the time you land at BZE airport until the time we drop you back off, your in-country trip costs include meals, accommodations, transportation, and trip insurance. Airfare is not included.

No two trips are exactly the same, but Family Impact trips usually include a mix of school ministry, village outreach, discipleship, service projects, community connection, and time with the A4JB team.

Combo trips allow team members to serve in multiple ways, often including medical clinic support along with school, village, or community ministry. These weeks are some of our favorites because they give teams a broader view of the ministry footprint.

Our needs change throughout the year based on schools, medical clinics, community outreach, special needs ministry, and local partnerships.
Please review the current ministry needs list. We ask each person to bring at least one Bible plus one other item if possible.
Yes. Whether you are 4 or 94, there is something meaningful for you to contribute. God has given each person gifts that can be used for His glory.
You may serve through teaching, tutoring, medical care, construction, worship, encouragement, sewing, practical skills, prayer, listening, playing with children, or simply being present with someone and sharing the love of Jesus.
Yes, minors may come on appropriate trips with proper adult leadership and documentation. If a minor under 18 is traveling without both parents, a notarized travel consent form is required.

Prepare with humility, flexibility, prayer, and a willingness to serve wherever needed. Watch the preparation videos, read the Trip Manual, and come ready to honor local leaders, love people well, and serve as part of a team.
